FIrst Day of College

I feel that if I do not write this down, I will regret it later, and later for the rest of my life. ahahah.


So hmmmm.


Mom dropped me off at the lrt at eight a.m.. Reached the monorail station at eight thirty. Walked to the college. Reached there at eight forty-five. Went to the office for my timetable at eight fifty-five. Reach the..."classroom"? at nine.


uh. The classrooms are strange. They're all called Room NumberNumberNumberSmth. yeah. And its all glass-for-walls, which I thought I would like, but... I dunno. LOL. Maybe it gets distracting everytime someone walks by.. and yeah. a projector, chairs... and low ceilings. Have I mentioned the college has prettymuch low ceilings everywhere? but its not really Unbearably low, so hmm. Ahhh. Gah I am so particular loooool.

But yeah. The feel of the overall college is okay, though. I like the fact that the arrangement of the escalators is as confusing as heck. For example in shopping malls its always like arranged in order, and the one going up is this side and vice versa...But in my college its as if the contractor just randomly swat the escalators around. ahaha. kinda always get confused which one is the one going up or down until i'm right in front of it, which is lol retarded. Ahaahaha why do I like it again?


But its sooooo OPEN. The escalators area. While you're going down or up you can actually see other people on the escalators five floors awaayy. So its a bit...unusual. Like, OPEN. BIIIG. hmmm.


Really need time to get used to.


I never noticed these things when I came here to survey sigh. FOR THE PAST THREE SURVEYS.



Anyway, moving on to the class. It starts with a College Prep Class. And there're about twenty of us. Which is hardly surprising, cuz the real intake is May. but yeeah. So they started with asking everyone for an introduction of themselves (name), what major and what is their biggest dream/ambition.


Well I said Xin You, Psychology and To be happy.

weird though. at that time I was giving every impression of someone not capable of showing happiness. ahahaha. i was just like, my dream? to be happy. yeah. then i give the thumbs up lol. sighhh.

and then there was this gamee. its called I-have-never. so everyone kinda stands around in a circle and say the things that they have never done and the people who have done it loses their uhh lives? and yeah the person still alive wins. So since its twenty people its split off into two groups..

Well my group was oookay. a bit quiet, but yeeah. I was quiet.

And the other group was noisy. People shouting "LIARR" and "YOU HAVENTT??" and even "NEVER? NOT ONCE IN FACEBOOK?" ahahaha. but yeah. thats how it is over the other sidee.


and then they got down to business. the...senoirs? Graduates i think. They started teaching us how to write assignments, like in the APA format... yeeeeah. That took a good hour. and then in the end they gave us an assignment, just so we can apply the fresh new thing we just learnt. hmm.

I was reeeeally tired throughout the whole thing gah. Kept yawning my socks off. trying to pretend i heard what they said by nodding like a robot, but in my head i was like WHAT did you sayy. sigh. when the class was over i was sooo glad.

So I had break from 11 until Two. Which is three hours. Which is a looong time to kill. So i went to lunch (well i was famished, besides being tired) and then its only like twelve sighhhh. hahaha then went to the library. Jot down a few things that i was feeling at that time, and then slept. LOLOL. really, really slept. offf from the world. woke up aboutt 1.30 and then texted ann and jia hui about th worship practice stuff yeahh.

Then for my second class. Its IT. Information tech. Well at first the computer lab was closed, so the lecturer (pretty cool in a way) got us all into the big hallway and then asked us to grab nearby chairs and sit in a circle. Then played Blow Wind Blow. then joked around and all, asked everyone for introduction.. then the lab opened and we all went in.

Started by telling us we have an assignment to do.  a BIGG PROJECT. a group one. hmm. gave us a little introduction on IT and all that. then got us to properly introduce ourselves at the front of the class. Wanted to know our names our high school our major what number we are in the family (O.O) and whats our talent/hobby.

So people started going up. but the results were a bit unexpected. I was actually really expecting people to struggle at the talent/hobby part, but no. People were actually literally bubbling off the things they can do, no sweat. But hmmm. Felt really weird. but i havent been around people lately, so I dunno.

It turned out to be a "good thing" for us, because then the lecturer said we'll based on those talent/hobby thingis to choose our own groups. So then there's Presentators 1, Presentators 2, Gaming Team, Art team, PR team and Food Team. And so I turned out to be in the gaming team. and all my group members speak chinese. but I get this feeling this is the group that I will be spending most of my time with, what with the assignments and all.


For the record, I DID not say my talent/hobby was in gaming.

hmm.


i'll get used to this soon.

and I found out that I inevitably stereotype people.
