Joyce Ang the two otter/Ian picture is a tragic scene. </3 Ian lost his beloved forever, and is living in remorse; but time has changed now. She has a good life being a wildlife model, while he can only look at her from afar.
so i decided to do a real story bahaha
Xin You little did we know about the story behind his true love, Iana the Otter Woman. Iana used to be just like any other woman, except to Ian's eyes, she was the most beautiful and graceful lady ever to set foot on this earth. Until one day, Ian was out hunting by the river when he slipped and fell. He immediately went unconscious. Therefore he was spared from witnessing wrath of the Great River God, emerging from the waters with a broken and woeful heart, for Ian's had just killed his only daughter, the River spirit who had assumed a land form and was cruising along the riverbed. Iana, who got worried, went to the river and found the river god just about to curse Ian for all eternity to be forever poor and unhappy. Iana immediately dropped to her knees and begged the river god to spare Ian, to take her life instead, for her love was greater than her life.
The river god saw how beautiful and similar Iana is to his own late daughter, and finally he decided to spare Ian. In exchange, however, he laid a spell on Iana and she was turned into an Otter. She was charged to stay on the surface of the river and to guard the river spirits from all accidents ever. Yet she was also forced to never see Ian again, in case she fails to do her duty. Nevertheless, Iana wanted one last moment with Ian.
When Ian came conscious, all he managed to see was a beautiful and graceful Otter on the river bed, with eyes that were both the happiest and the saddest he'd ever seen. When his eyes met with the otter's, he heard his lover's voice and memories, and they told him everything.
After the otter turned and slipped into the water to disappear, Ian wept with a broken heart. However he swore to never love another, his heart belonging to Iana forever. On some days, he could be seen on the river beds, watching otters playing and swimming gracefully....
