i think....i think i support homosexual marriage.

because of this.

but mostly i don't try to think of it, because i don't understand them, i don't experience the same things they experience.

Now I feel, if one person cannot help it at all and is really...sexually disoriented, then i think there's nothing wrong with that. its just sad that that person has to go through that much social discrimination.

BUT. if one person is simply imagining themselves to be that way, or trying to be something else that they're not -__- , or God knows what other reasons, then i think that's disgusting.


either way i guess, society is kinda screwed up. :S


maybe it always have been screwed up. maybe it just gets more interesting as we grow up and find out about things.


another issue. my lecturer has been talking about homosexuality, incest, paedophilia,  etc etc. So he was talking about this (muslim) parent who is pretty liberal, and gives the child freedom to be whatever he/she is, as in, the child will still be accepted if suddenly he/she is homosexual or decides to change religion. (which is very liberal for a muslim)

thennn my lecturer told us when he heard that he was a bit touchy (he's a less liberal muslim) and told us he countered the parent by saying "what if one day your child tells you that he/she's in love with your husband?"

and then yeah. sensitive.  so there were arguments and such. well, his point was to prove that things are not always easy to solve.

yeah point well proven, but i dunno. i feel there's something off about this.


the fact that he (and mostly everyone) seem to categorise all these issues (homosexuality, incest- mentioned above) into ONE category, which is "SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE."

because he said the parent is liberal about the child's sexual orientation and religious perception.

and then he counters with ANOTHER ISSUE, which is related to incest and paedophilia.

well maybe the parent could also be liberal about those too (though the jibe at the husband was a bit...eugh), but still.

i think it's wrong to be doing that. i think all of them are different.

homosexuality. incest. paedophilia. esp these three. they're different. although undeniably, all of them are uh, not the norm of the society, yeah its a problem too, yet i feel its wrong to split society into two areas.

-the acceptable area and the unacceptable area.

because you can't look a homosexual person and think the same way about them as you would on an incestuous person or a paedophilia. and the same as thinking about an incestuous person the same way as a homosexual and a paedophile. and..yeah lol.

i mean, its all different things, different behaviour, right?


but yet people just put them all into one category, and i think this could be one of the factors why society is so discriminating.
